Join us for a casual welcome reception on the first day of MEDSI 2025. Following the facility tour at MAX IV, we invite you to gather in the Atrium of the main conference venue, The Loop, to meet fellow delegates and reconnect with colleagues over drinks and light refreshments.
The reception will take place in a relaxed, mingle-style format at The Loop, beginning at 17:00.
Conference Dinner
Thursday, 18 September 2025 – from 17:30
Luftkastellet

The conference dinner will be held at Luftkastellet, a striking venue overlooking the Öresund and the Øresund Bridge, located just outside Malmö.
The evening begins with a cocktail-style gathering on the terrace, followed by dinner served indoors. This will be a chance to reflect on the week and enjoy the company of colleagues from synchrotron facilities around the world.
Transport
Buses will depart from The Loop at 17:30. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes.
Return buses will first stop in central Lund before continuing to MAX IV.
Important: Luftkastellet is not served by public transport. If you miss the scheduled buses, the only way to reach the venue will be by private car or taxi. Please make sure to be on time for the departure from The Loop.
Dietary preferences
A meal card system will be used to accommodate dietary requirements. Delegates will receive a card with their selected preference (e.g. vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free) upon arrival at the restaurant.
